MCP
Welcome to St. Mary & Archangel Michael’s Monthly Camp Program (MCP)
The vision behind the CYC and the MCP is rooted in our understanding that one hour of Sunday School each week is not enough to meet the spiritual needs of our youth. In a world filled with distractions and worldly concerns, we believe in the importance of providing additional opportunities for deeper reflection, teaching, and discipleship. The MCP seeks to fill this gap, offering a focused and structured environment where Biblical teachings are combined with new and engaging methods of learning, all while instilling core Christian values that will guide our youth for a lifetime.
The MCP also emphasizes the development of good habits through repetition and structure. As participants follow a well-planned schedule, they are introduced to the virtues of discipline, punctuality, and responsibility, which are key to their spiritual growth. By dedicating time to spiritual instruction and fellowship in a world that constantly vies for their attention, they learn to prioritize their relationship with God and resist the distractions of modern life. It’s a chance for them to turn feelings of absence from the Church into a sense of belonging and commitment to their faith.
Furthermore, the MCP offers our youth a chance to serve and give back. Whether through acts of kindness within the church or service projects that reach beyond our walls, participants are taught the value of Christian service, helping them to grow in humility and love for others. This is not just a weekend retreat—it is an opportunity for our youth to be molded into leaders and servants of Christ, equipped to carry the teachings of the Church into the world around them.
