Classroom Schedule for SUS Diocese Curriculum
To ensure a respectful, timely, and consistent approach to teaching the Diocese curriculum, the following schedule should be followed in each classroom:
❖ Opening Prayer (5 minutes)
- A prepared prayer from the SUS Diocese, followed by a student prayer.
- The servant delivering the lesson will conclude the prayer.
❖ Hymn Teaching (10 minutes)
- The assigned servant will teach a hymn, introducing students to the beauty of Coptic Church hymnology.
- This time aims to inspire students to deepen their appreciation for the hymns and foster a desire to learn more.
❖ Secondary Curriculum/Activity (10 minutes)
- The assigned servant will guide the class through the secondary curriculum provided by the SUS Diocese.
- This lesson should flow continuously, enhancing students’ knowledge of the Church and its traditions.
❖ Main Lesson (30 minutes)
- Introduction (5 minutes): Brief overview and context for the lesson.
- Main Topic (20 minutes): In-depth exploration of the subject matter.
- Q & A (5 minutes): Time for students to ask questions and engage with the material.
❖ Concluding Prayer (5 minutes)
- One or two students will lead the prayer, followed by the servant who gave the lesson concluding with a final prayer.
